.NET Developer (Regina)

Our customers are beginning to return to the office. Depending on the customer, the role may or may not start remote but may switch to onsite at the customer direction. The successful candidate will need to be able to perform work on customer premises as a condition of hire.
We have an opportunity for .NET developers with a minimum 3 years’ experience to work on a variety of projects including:
  • custom software development
  • package selection, customization, integration, and implementation
  • enterprise application integration
These positions require experience in software coding at all stages of the systems development lifecycle, including application development, acceptance testing, application implementation, and ongoing maintenance and support.

We are looking for candidates with experience deploying larger n-tier business-critical enterprise-class applications, primarily web-based but also with client-based UIs and significant back-end batch processing.

We are looking for expertise in the following development environments and tools:
  • Deep .NET development experience, with hands-on C#.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
  • Minimum 5-8 years of development experience using .NET; Expertise in REST and RPC APIs required; Producing code using .NET languages (C#, VB .NET) required; Familiarity with different architecture styles (n-tier, microservices, etc.).
  • Experience and ability to build and maintain ASP.NET Web API's
  • Working experience using ORM tools like entity Framework (EF) or EF core etc.
  • Experience with Oracle/PLSQL/MS SQL/T SQL (databases).
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) domain and business systems a plus.
  • Familiarity with the .NET, .NET MVC, .NET CORE, Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS3/JAVA Script.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies (MUST)
  • Experience using GIT and other versioning tool.
  • Working experience with Azure cloud or AWS.
  • Working experience with any of these technologies Azure ServiceBus, Rabbit MQ, AWS SQS or Hangfire etc.

The following are also considered strong assets:
  • Experience with Agile development techniques and supporting tools such as Jira Agile
  • Formal educational Certificate, Diploma or Degree from an educational facility with a major in Computer Science
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and an ability to communicate clearly with non-technical staff
