Cyber Security Analyst (Regina)

Paradigm has opportunities for Cyber Security Analyst to employ their knowledge, skills and techniques to deliver and implement significant initiatives and enable our customers to maximize their investments in their business processes and information technology. 
Our customers are beginning to return to the office. Depending on the customer, the role may or may not start remote but may switch to onsite at the customer direction in 2021.

This is a one year contract with options to renew.
What you’ll do: 
  • Design, build, implement and support enterprise-class security systems 
  • Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats 
  • Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emerge 
  • Plan, research and design robust security architectures for any IT project 
  • Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses and security assessments 
  • Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cybersecurity requirements 
  • Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements 
  • Review and approve installation of firewall, VPN, routers, IDS scanning technologies and servers 
  • Test security systems to ensure they behave as expected 
  • Use current programming language and technologies to write code, complete programming and perform testing and debugging of applications 
  • Train users in implementation or conversion of systems 
  • Respond immediately to security-related incidents and provide thorough remedial solutions and analysis 
  • Regularly communicate vital information, security needs and priorities to upper management 
 What we’d like:  
  • 3+ years IT security or information security experience with a proven ability to engage with Senior Management and regulators.  
  • 2+ years experience conducting IT compliance assessments (e.g. Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI, etc.) including familiarity with cyber security standards based on NIST 800-53, ITSG-33 and best practices 
  • 2+ years experience in administering IT security controls in an organization - experience with IT security technologies (such as but not limited to) IDS/IPS, Cisco ACS or ISE, Microsoft Network Policy Server (NPS), MAC, PKI, PowerShell scripting) 
  • Experience with Red Team Exercises 
  • Knowledge of technical infrastructure, networks, databases and systems in relation to IT Security and IT Risk 
  • Working knowledge of application & infrastructure security solutions (Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Network Security, Password Management, Data Encryption, and Access Control) – examples: Azure, IDS/IPS, Cisco ACS or ISE, Microsoft Network Policy Server (NPS), MAC, PKI, PowerShell scripting 
  • Prior experience working within 1+ of the following industries – Financial Services, Insurance, Public Sector, Healthcare, Crown Corporation, TELCO, Manufacturing, Automotive, Supply Chain 
  • Canadian Delivery experience preferred – Regina, Saskatoon and/or Winnipeg experience will be a bonus 
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security or related field required 
  • Secret or Top Secret Clearance is an asset 
  • CISSP, CEH, OSCP, OSCE, GIAC GCIA, GSEC, Security+ or other security certifications preferred
